At Hercules Road State School, we provide the very best of early learning opportunities. The school embraces an age-appropriate approach to learning with a balance of structured and investigative learning experiences. Children in our Prep classes experience the joy of learning to read, write and work with numbers to ten. Children learn routines and develop social skills that lay a positive, solid foundation for learning throughout the years to come.
Enrolling in Prep year at Hercules Road State School is a simple process:
- Complete enrolment forms (available online or from our front office).
- Hand these in to the front office. A copy of your child's birth certificate is also needed. This can be done at the office.
- You will receive an invitation to book your child in for an orientation session (late Term 3/early Term 4). This is an opportunity for you to find out more detail about the school, for us to meet your child and for you to tell us a little more about your child's needs.
- Your child will be invited to participate in some transition to Prep activities at the school during Term 4.
- Late in Term 4 you will receive a letter with details of your child's teacher and a map with their classroom highlighted.
In addition to the formal part of the enrolment process, you are also invited to come along to a Prep InformationSession in our school hall.
You can choose to attend a morning or afternoon session.
Tea/coffee/snacks provided, with a coffee van on site for the morning session.

During this session the Principal will give information about our school, take you on a guided tour and answer any questions that you may have..
Come along to one of our Prep Information Sessions for parents in our school hall. Meet our team, ask questions, explore the facilities and find out how to best prepare your child to begin school.
To enrol, please download the enrolment forms. Please ensure that you print all documents. Acceptance of enrolment is subject to the sighting of a Birth Certificate or other legal document (e.g. Passport) at the time of submitting enrolment forms.
